Weeks 14 & 15 and Trapper still runs the show...

We've reached the 60% point in time with treatment--woo hoo!! We're actually much further along with the meds, though, since we're now at every other week for treatment. Trapper continues to do well, and we spent two days playing agility last weekend. On Jan 29, Trapper had a Vincristine treatment with no significant negative effects. I mentioned to Michael that in mid-April, when Trapper completes treatment, I'll bet he's going to feel awesome!!

See below for Trapper's latest adventures....

OK, I think this photo is pretty funny--it's like Trapper is
saying "Would you PLEASE clean up MY yard?!"

Day 1 of agility--Trapper on the teeter, waiting for the tipping point.

Remember the part in the title of this post about Trapper still running the show?.....both days he decided to run to the back of the table before getting on--the only side of the 4 that would result in a non-qualifying run.... This photo is me basically begging him to get on the table! ;-) I was fighting a nasty cold this weekend, and to Trapper's credit, I flubbed the 2nd run on both days, giving him bad instructions. So, we did something we haven't done in a LONG time--we went 0/4 on the weekend. But there were some bright spots--read on.......

OK, I'm smirking at Mr Strong-Willed after he FINALLY gets on the table

Love this photo--I think it's the only one I have of Trapper jumping a broad jump.

There's my boy--I'm so happy he's still having fun in the midst of chemo and about to turn 12 years old!

Trap decided to bust out of his soft-sided crate, so my friends loaned me one of their wire crates. Here Trapper is waiting for the release cue to eat the top of one of my sweet peppers--they are one of his favorite foods and
we usually share during agility trials...

Soooo sad..... ;)
Though we went 0/4, I did make good use of our time between runs and
brushed Trapper--he doesn't look like a wooly mammoth anymore!

Newly brushed--I love the wagging tail stub, too!

My friends Carol and Brian came to visit--what a nice surprise!!

So, in some ways this will always be my favorite part of agility trials with Trapper....on the ride home
he's so tired he'll rest his head on my hand. Not something he'll do most any other time. :)

After the brushing and spending 2 days in a dusty horse barn, it was time for a bath--doesn't Trapper look thrilled??

Washing

Getting dry--so scary for Trap!
That's it for this update. Trapper and I still need 2 more QQs for his PACH and we head to Denver next weekend for 2 days of trialing...we'll see!! Plus, I've booked our hotel for Tulsa in March--Nationals, here we come!!
